Lithagen::Home

Welcome to the online home of Lithagen Solutions. Right now there is only one member of the group, and that's me: Matthew Morgan (Lytithwyn). This is the official home of the CPS (Christian Production Studio) Suite, and all of it's components. I was inspired to write CPS by the fact that my dad, a Baptist preacher, has a DVD ministry, and all of the software he has to use to make his DVD's is proprietary Windows software. He needs programs that make it easy to burn to multiple optical drives at once, layout DVD's from mpg files, and so on. So, God allowed me to conceive the idea of CPS, and I started coding. I just hope that this gives a good, free alternative to all those out there who are using DVD/CD technology for God, and that it will help them in their work.

All of the software on this website is licensed under the GNU GPL (check each piece of software to find out which version) and is completely free (free as in speech, and free of charge) and can be downloaded and distributed by anyone per the provisions of the GPL. What that basically means in layman's terms is you can use this program for yourself, give it away to others, and you can build on it to make something new!

1/11/08 | Fixed layout bugs
I was able to fix the bugs in the layout for IE6 by reading a most informative article at:
http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/threepxtest.html

Now it should look right in all major browsers, including Opera. I haven't used Opera in years, but when I heard that it had passed the Acid2 test some time back, I had to try it. It's very fast, and very free! No more ads like it used to have (as far as I can see).

1/7/08 | Broken IE
Well, the layout didn't go exactly as I'd liked it to. I had a much nicer one, but I'll stick with this simplified version for now, as the nicer one didn't look right in either IE6 or IE7.

As you may well notice, this layout has a spacing bug in IE6, but the bug is in IE, not the code; so for now, if you want the site to look right, I recommend using Firefox. It should also look right in IE7, though.

12/28/07 | Work in progress
There hasn't been much done to the site in the last little bit, but I am planning a few more layout changes before I get the rest of it up. As far as Toasteplex, I am hoping that once I iron out a few compatibility issues with disc type detection, I will be able to post a tarball to the downloads page. I am trying to get it working with the gnu automake tools, and I plan for the first release to use them if possible. I just have to figure out how to make configure look for all the dependencies.

12/4/07 | News Feeds
Well, I got the news feeds running from the database. Keep a check here for the 5 most recent news posts. Eventually there should be an archive where you can see all of them in a paginated view (though I HATE writing pagination code).

11/28/07 | New Site Layout
Ok, obviously the site is having some major work done on it. Sorry it takes so long, but I don't have a lot of time for web programming. I'm too busy working on Toasteplex. ;) Anyway, by the time I'm through, I should have regular news feeds here, a developer's blog, and some actual software to download!
